Member: Shamim Usman

Shamim Usman is working as Director Quality Management & Patient Care with Patel Hospital, previously worked with Children Hospital Quetta as Associate Director Nursing. In addition to her Managerial Assignments she has a vast experience of Patient Care Management Systems along-with un-matched teaching capabilities which were demonstrated during her tenure with AKUSON.

The Ex-Chair of Working Group of Women-AKU (2001-2003) graduated from AKUSON in 1990, Completed Diploma in Management of Health Care from University of Cardiff in 1992, completed Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Administration & Management in 1993. The Master’s in Business Administration in Finance & Accounts in 1995 geared her for Post Doctoral Degree in Hospital Management & Quality Controls, which is in process.

Trained as Team Leader in TQM in 1995. Juran Institute
Trained as Facilitator in TQM in 1995, Juran Institute.
Facilitated 3-4 quality circles in different departments of AKU.
Trained as Internal Auditor for ISO 9002.
Audited Pharmacy & Laboratory as Team Lead for ISO 9002.
Actively participated in ISO 9002 certification of Nursing Services and Other Departments at AKU.
